Autumn Leaves

A number of residents have raised the issue of fallen leaves on pavements and in gullies. CEC Cllr Christopher Cowdy has contacted CEC Environmental Services to ask if there is a plan tp address this sbut it seems highly unlikely that they will take action to deal with leaves from privately owned trees but instead encourage Communities to “self-manage”.
We would therefore suggest that anyone who is able and willing to clear some leaves could do so and dispose of them in their garden or perhaps use them on garden borders where they simply disintegrate over the winter months providing nutrition in the soil for next year. This topic will also be discussed at a future CCC meeting.
